Zulia is a Venezuelan singer‑songwriter and producer, born in Maracaibo, in the state of Zulia, Venezuela. He has lived in various places during his childhood (including time spent in Africa and Brazil) before settling in Mexico, which influences his musical and cultural identity. His music often reflects emotional vulnerability: themes of heartbreak, introspection, unrequited love, and identity are recurring and his approach can be described as genre-blending or boundary-pushing. Some of his well-known tracks include “Complejo de Mártir,” “Euterpe,” and “Cinetosis.” And he recently released a joint EP Cultura POPular alongside musical peer Alex Ponce. In addition to his own output, Zulia has credits working alongside major artists (e.g. Bad Bunny, Christina Aguilera) as a producer or collaborator. He is cited as part of the newer generation of Latin music that seeks to expand pop’s expressive palette, rather than conform to trends.
