Shim Moore, former lead singer and founder of the alt-rock band, Sick Puppies is gearing up to release his first solo album, SHIM.
During his tenure with Sick Puppies, the band certified RIAA platinum, sold over 2 million singles of the hit “Maybe,” and went on to release 10 charting singles on different formats, including “You’re Going Down,” which reached #1 at Active Rock. The “Free Hugs” campaign became an international phenomenon when Shim posted a video he made to the single, “All the Same.” After uploading to YouTube, it became the first-ever viral video with over 78 million views. The success of the campaign also led to appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, 60 Minutes and The Tonight Show.

Voted “Most Electrifying Frontman in the World” by FUSE, Shim’s live show is a hard act to follow. With over 1,500 shows under his belt, his dynamic stage presence wins over new audiences instantly and has made him one of the best live performers of his generation. Look for Shim sharing the stage with Avenged Sevenfold, Tool, Stone Temple Pilots and more at this year’s Rock on the Range festival, and opening on select dates with Imagine Dragons.

Shim’s blood and intensity run through every song he’s ever written, and his upcoming single, “Hallelujah” is no exception. A bluesy guitar riff cries out before snapping into a gospel-style chant – “Can I get an Amen or a Hallelujah?” carried on by a full choir and hard-hitting hook that already sounds like a summer anthem.

“Hallelujah” will be released on April 27th. Fred Croshal from the Croshal Entertainment Group, is leading the marketing efforts, with Kymm Britton handling publicity. Shim is represented by entertainment attorney, David A. Helfant.
