King’s Bullet

Kings Bullet is music for life, love, loss and the human condition. Formed in Nashville, TN in 2012 by award winning songwriter/ producer Trey Bruce and acclaimed songwriter Loni Rose, Kings Bullet are equal parts Country, Folk, Americana, and Pop music.
Emmy Award winning songwriter, Trey Bruce, moved to Nashville just in time for the 1990’s country music boom. Trey was a rock drummer from Memphis so, what could go wrong? He credits a copy of Springsteen’s “Tunnel Of Love” as the bridge he had to cross to make the trip, lyrically & spiritually. Since then, Trey has had over 100 cuts in country and rock, with multiple #1 and top ten singles in the US and abroad, won 14 ASCAP awards and is an Academy of Country Music Song of the Year nominee.
Trey has written songs with a wide variety of artists from Randy Travis to Katherine McPhee, ZZ Top to Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill to Velvet Revolver and Marty Stuart to LeAnn Rimes. His songs and productions have appeared on a list of Film & TV, from his first film use in “Where The Heart Is” starring Ashly Judd to, his most recent uses in TV’s American Idol & Biggest Loser. After writing a couple thousand songs with other singers in mind and producing records for Trace Adkins, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Chris LeDoux, among others, Trey finds himself for the first time staring at the artist in the mirror….King’s Bullet.
Loni Rose has been generating global attention for many years. Her pop-country songs have found their way into films such as American Pie, Lovewrecked, Garth Brooks Produced Movie, Unanswered Prayers, as well as many television shows including America’s Next Top Model, Providence, Teen Mom, and The Hills. In 1999 through her connections with Seattle’s KISS 106.1 FM, Loni secured a coveted spot on the Lilith Fair Music Festival playing alongside female songwriters Sarah McLachlan and Sheryl Crow. On that success she continued to perform to receptive crowds with Chris Isaak, Shawn Mullins, Shawn Colvin, Nelly Furtado, Blues Traveler and Smashmouth.
With thousands of albums to choose from, in 2004, “CD Baby” selected Rose’s critically acclaimed debut album, The Shine Sessions, to feature on their home page. Shine Sessions was produced by Dwight A. Baker in Austin, Texas at Matchbox Studios. The album features Sammy Hudson and Davey French of the Rock band Everclear and Jason Halbert from The Kelly Clarkson Band. Loni’s video for a song on the album, “Wrong Way Back”, was featured on Great American Country’s “The Next GAC Star” and was highly endorsed by industry veteran, Desmond Child.
In 2009 Loni was chosen to compete in a national competition pioneered by a Fortune 500 company promoting exclusively to their 6 million registered consumers, Loni’s talent rose to the top, and she won by 200,000 votes with surprisingly only 1% coming from her own region. Upon her success, Loni went on to record an album with legendary producer, Elliot Mazer. Riding this wave she has been embraced by the Nashville songwriting community collaborating with the likes of Shawn Mullins, Chuck Cannon, George Teren, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Joe West and Trey Bruce.
Bruce and Rose met during a songwriting session set up by producer Eli Ball. “There was an instant attraction musically” states Bruce. “We have been writing ever since.” With a similar love for music that is a little off the cuff for Nashville, the two decided to collaborate on some personal songs of heart break and struggle. After writing a collection of songs that really no one could sing with the same conviction as them, they decided to record the project and release it through their managements label DSR (Digitally Sound Records/Ingrooves Fontana). The self titled debut is set for a October 30th release.
