Jean Michel Gibert dreamed of a more successful project: build structure, dedicated to the development and promotion of the Caribbean culture through international quality projects.

Along with Rituals label (which then became Caribbean Music Group in 2001), Roots Caribbean Rhythms Publishing (RCRP) was founded in 1996. The English publishing firm based in London now owns a fair numbers of copyrights from these various local genres as mentioned above to Crossover, Reggae, RNB and Pop tracks. RCRP is registered with local COTT for Trinidad and Tobago, recently with BMI for North America and with PRS /MCPS for the rest of the World. RCRP work with two proactive sub-publishers the French Because Editions for Continental Europe and recently started collaboration with Royalty Network for North America.

The group of companies is number one of this kind in Trinidad and gradually gained international recognition in a market that is beginning to open. RCRP was able to regularly synchronize some of his best tracks to film and ads all over the World. Recognized world music artists such as Mungal, 3 Canal, Brother Resistance, soca artists such as Superblue, a large catalogue of vintage calypso and targeted steelband repertoire are the assets of the catalogue.

Jean-Michel Gibert was also involved in the digital sphere by launching the first legal download site Caribbean music, trinidadtunes.com and by creating his own film production outlet Maturity Productions responsible for major films such as “Calypso Rose The lioness of the Jungle” and “Pan ! Our Music Odyssey”.

According to Jean Michel Gibert, the goal was just to "open the doors to international markets for audiovisual and musical productions from one of the cultural hub of the Caribbean structuring and developing coproduction innovative approach, traditional and digital promotion of these products."
