Jeff Andrea and Kira Leyden p/k/a 'The Strange Familiar' (www.thestrangefamiliar.com) have signed a Worldwide Administration agreement with The Royalty Network, Inc. The band started gaining attention when their song,"Courage Is", was featured in promos used to launch a brand new series on ABC Family. Without radio play, it quickly became a huge fan favorite and generated thousands of downloads and created internet buzz for the currently unsigned band. Now, The Strange Familiar lift their resonant pop rock to new heights on their debut, full length album "This Is Gravity". Their powerful sound is defined by the pairing of Kira's soaring vocals and elegant piano with Jeff's intricate guitar work. "This Is Gravity" was released independently in late 2009 and is now available on iTunes. Most recentlty, Orianthi recorded a cover version of "Courage", which is part of her new album 'Believe (II)'. The Strange Familiar's works are administered through their Blissfield Adrian Music Publishing (Ascap).

INRECO (Indian Record Manufacturing Co. Ltd) have signed an Administrtation Agreement with The Royalty Network, covering the works in their long standing catalog. INRECO is one of the oldest and most well established record label and publisher in India. Their catalog boasts some of the most World renowned Artist, and it's a pleasure to be representing their works.

Doug Fieger Music signed a Worldwide Administration deal with The Royalty Network, Inc. Doug Fieger was best known as lead singer of the Knack and co-writer with guitarist Berton Averre of that group's summer of 1979 number one smash and perennial favorite "My Sharona." After Fieger graduated from high school, Jimmy Miller took Fieger's group, Sky to London and they recorded their first album at Olympic Studios, next door to the Stones recording Sticky Fingers. Sky recorded their second album at Mick Jagger's house using the Stones' mobile truck, their old friends in the Who recording "Won't Get Fooled Again" with that truck earlier in the day. The band hung out with the likes of Jeff Beck, Chris Wood, one of their producers Gary Wright, Andy Johns, Bobby Keys, Jim Price, the Plastic Ono Band's Alan White, and many others. Sky moved to Los Angeles at the suggestion of Jimmy Miller and eventually broke up due to youth and management hassles. We're pleased about entering into this new Agreement, and look forward to protecting, collecting, and further exploiting the catalog.

Clayton Gavin (pka 'Stic' of Dead Prez) has renewed his Administration deal for another Term. Besides being a part of the classic hits of Dead Prez, such as "Hip Hop", stic.man also wrote two books. The first, entitled Warrior Names from Afrika, is a compilation of African warrior names and their meanings. His second book, The Art of Emcee-ing, is a 112-page resource that offers a step-by-step instructional guide on how to emcee, unique tips on voice healing and vocal health practices, and an explanation on many aspects of the hip hop industry, including terminology, styles, and business dealings. stic.man also maintains Boss Up, Inc., an "Atlanta-based music and entertainment company that offers information, music, and gear that reflects a sense of self-determination, creative consciousness, and entrepreneurship. stic.man also produced "Sly Fox", "Untitled" and "We're Not Alone" on Nas' album Untitled.

Terence 'Tramp' Abney has renewed his Agreement with The Royalty Network. Tramp's hit productions on many Jaheim releases, including his latest, 'Another Round'. We're pleased to continue our relationship, and look forward to working closely with Tramp in the expansion of his catalog.

GIRLS have signed on for an extension, which now covers all the works on their new EP, 'Broken Dreams Club'. A wooden studio sheen provides a laid-back vibe as Christopher Owens, JR White, and a dozen guest musicians concentrate on dreamy Southern ballads done in a '50s-style. Horns, pedal steel, and electric piano round out the title track "Broken Dreams Club," and "The Oh so Protective One" is practically a flamenco take on Roy Orbison. The EP standout, "Heartbreaker," fits closest with the material on Album, their first full length album. We're thrilled to extend our deal with GIRLS and can't wait for the next full length album later this year.
