September 2009 Fred Schneider has signed a Worldwide Administration Agreement with The Royalty Network. Arguably the biggest party band of the late-'70s punk/new wave era was the B-52's, which featured a total of three singers: bouffant wig-wearing frontwoman Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson, as well as the just-as-quirky Fred Schneider. The new group formed in late 1976, and after playing several parties in their hometown, the group began playing such New York City clubs as CBGB's and Max's Kansas City on a regular basis. In addition to his B-52's duties, Fred has appeared in several movies, including 1994's The Flintstones, and supplied the voice of a newborn baby in 1998's The Rugrats Movie. The '90s saw the release of two solo albums for Fred — 1991's Fred Schneider & the Shake Society and 1996's surprisingly raw and rocking Just Fred — while he also found the time to guest on recordings by others (RuPaul, Chicks on Speed, etc.). Fred’s works will be administered via his Fun Bunnies International Ltd. (Ascap). Justin Townes Earle has signed an Administrtation Agreement with The Royalty Network. Justin Townes Earle's second album Midnight At the Movies, displays an adeptness and musical sophistication of remarkable, organic breadth and is as lyrically sharp as a lover's tongue as she is walking out the door. Midnight at the Movies is held firm by Justin's astonishing vision and conviction, yet roams o'er the vast landscape of American music without so much as a stumble. Since the release of The Good Life in early 2008, Earle has been a busy man, occupying himself with such activities as performing on the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Fest, Chicago Country Music Festival, Americana Music Awards, Down Home in Norway and his debut on the Grand Ole Opry. Features on NPR’s Morning Edition, Mountain Stage and World Café caught the ears of millions of listeners and admiring ink ran in publications like New York Times, LA Times, Nashville Scene, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, American Songwriter and No Depression. A recent Americana Music Award Winner, Justin Townes Earle is here to stay, and we’re more than pleased to have him in our family. Ernesto Roberts has signed a Worldwide Administration deal with The Royalty Network. The deal includes his Sean Paul song, “Hold My Hand”, off the current Sean Paul album ‘Imperial Blaze‘. We look forward to working alongside Ernesto, to help craft his next hit.
We’re pleased to welcome Joe Vega III and Keith Davis Jr (collectively known as Ham Squad Productions). The guys produced and co-wrote the latest release from Soulja Boy, “I’m Ballin”. Ham Squad’s material will be administered through their Ham Squad Music (Ascap) catalog.
Stanley ‘Rellee’ Hayden has renewed his Agreement with The Royalty Network. Rellee’s hit productions on “Tek Wea Yu Self”, “Mus Come A Road” and “Raging Bull”, kept many a dancehall up late throughout the past year. We’re pleased to continue our relationship, and look forward to working closely with Rellee in the expansion of his catalog.
