September 2004 Hip-hop producer Ayatollah (Lamont Dorrell) recently signed a worldwide administration deal with The Royalty Network. An accomplished producer, Ayatollah has crafted hits for Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Inspectah Deck, Styles, and Black Rob, among others. Ayatollah’s works are published via his Old Negro Spirituals (ASCAP) and Almetta Drew Publishing (ASCAP) catalogs. Joleen Belle (JoBelle Music – ASCAP) recently inked an agreement covering her composition “Paper Doll” for the world. “Paper Doll” is performed by Juliette Shoppmann and is currently released on the BMG Germany label. Marc Shemer a/k/a Scram Jones has signed a worldwide administration deal with The Royalty Network. Scram is an up-and-coming producer who has already worked with some of the best in hip-hop. He’s produced cuts for Lloyd Banks, The X-Ecutioners, Krumb Snatcha, and Jae Millz. Atlanta based production team Organized Noize have signed an administration agreement with The Royalty Network covering their catalog for The World excluding the U.S. Consisting of Raymond Murray, Rico Wade, and Patrick “Sleepy” Brown, Organized Noize first rose to prominence after producing the mammoth TLC hit “Waterfalls.” They then focused their energies on producing Southern-flavored hits for artists such as Outkast, Goodie Mob, and Ludacris. Always original, Organized Noize set the standard for Southern rap production and helped establish the South as a force in the hip-hop world. They continue to produce some of the freshest sounds in hip-hop today. Their works are published via their Organized Noize Music (BMI) catalog.
