Scissors For Lefty (www.scissorsforlefty.com), have signed a Worldwide Administration deal with The Royalty Network, Inc., covering their catalog. Scissors for Lefty inked a deal with Los Angeles-based Eenie Meenie Records, who will release their anticipated sophomore full-length, Underhanded Romance, June 12. Voted “best up-and-coming indie band” by SF Weekly, the band has been setting off radars in both the U.S. and U.K., inciting NME to boast: “ambitious, sarcastic sophistopop… quirky, promising, and quite possibly ‘awesome.’ High-energy rhythms, tongue-in-cheek sentiments, slick melodies and infectious charisma collide with great result on the group’s Charles Goodan-produced/engineered (Beck, Santana, The Dust Brothers) and Mark Needham mixed (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, Chris Isaac) label debut. Underhanded Romance is full of swaggering jams bringing to mind contemporaries Hot Hot Heat and Franz Ferdinand and at moments reminiscent of Pulp. Signed to Rough Trade Records outside of North America (Arcade Fire, The Decemberists, Belle & Sebastian), the group has performed alongside bands such as The Arctic Monkeys, Paul Weller, Dirty Pretty Things, Grandaddy, Metric and Blonde Redhead, among many others. Scissors’s works are a welcome addition to our catalog.

We have entered into an exclusive Administration Agreement with Sanga Music, and it’s related group of companies, including Appleseed Music, Howard Beach Music, and Stormking Music. Each of these companies in and of themselves are a treasure, but collectively they are an amazing addition to our catalog. There’s the Stormking Music catalog, including the works of Peggy Seeger, and more. This catalog consists of material recorded by Bob Dylan, Peter Paul and Mary, and the classic, “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”. The Howard Beach Music catalog features works by composed by Arlo Guthrie. Like his father, Woody, Arlo has carved out a career as a folksinger and songwriter with a social conscience who leavens political messages with humor, the highlight being the famous, “Alice’s Restaurant”. Finally, the Sanga Music catalog, which consists of Folk Legend Pete Seeger’s works. Perhaps no single person in the 20th century has done more to preserve, broadcast, and re-distribute folk music than Pete Seeger, whose passion for politics, the environment, and humanity have earned him both ardent fans and vocal enemies since he first began performing in the late '30s. It quite clear the works of these catalogs will be worked efficiently throughout our company, to not only preserve the integrity of the works, but also to further expand their creative qualities.

Anthony Cruz p/k/a AZ has signed an exclusive Administration Agreement for his Life’s A Bitch Publishing (ASCAP) catalog. Born in Brooklyn as Anthony Cruz, AZ first came to the greater rap community's attention in a big way after his stellar performance on Nas’"Life's a Bitch" in 1994. His debut album, Doe or Die, shook the New York hip-hop scene as Nas' Illmatic and Mobb Deep's Infamous had done shortly before it. Like Nas, AZ had Pete Rock crafting the beats, which won the young rapper instant credibility among the hip-hop community. When word hit the street that AZ was an official member of the supergroup known as the Firm, his status only rose higher. In 2002, he released Aziatic. From the album, "The Essence" was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group. With an extensive history of seven (7) full length album, and a new one due to drop later this year, it’s no wonder AZ has been a staple name in the hitory of Hip Hop.

Sophisticated search engines make MovieCues a joy to use. Their Publishing divisions are being administered through The Royalty Network, Inc. With representatives throughout all the major Music markets, MovieCues is seeking the most talented Songwriters and Artists, and presenting them in the most efficient and least time consuming way, to the end users in Film, TV, and Advertising world. Albert Watson p/k/a ‘Culture T’, has signed an Administration Agreement with The Royalty Network. The conscious reggae catalog includes work from his solo release, plus numerous songs on compilation albums. We look forward to working the catalog throughout the World, and expanding the ability of Culture T.

Matt Web Music (Ascap), home of successful producer/writer, Mathias Weber has signed an Exclusive Agreement for his catalog. A talented writer and film Composer, Mathias’ newest work is featured on the recent #1 album of Daughtry. In addition, he’s also scored numerous films. Mathias was signed through our West Coast office, and is a gifted writer and his works will be a pleasure to pitch. Mathias’ works are Administered through his Matt Web Music (ASCAP).
