GRIT Boys (Pretty Todd, Poppy, Scooby, and Unique) (www.myspace.com/gritboys), have signed a Worldwide Administration deal with The Royalty Network, Inc., covering their catalog. Grit Boys inked a deal with New York based TVT Records via Mobetta , who have release their premier full-length, ‘Ghetto Reality In Texas’. The city of Houston set the standard for independent rap back when the Geto Boys first dropped on Rap-A-Lot Records in the late '80's. An entrepreneurial group of young brothers from the city known only for it's oil business and the NASA Space program took the rap world by storm. Before them, nobody knew that Houston was a wellspring of rap talent. After them, that wellspring blew wide open, and consumers hungry for realistic tales from the hood started looking to the dirty streets of H-Town for their fix. G.R.i.T. stands for Ghetto Reality in Texas (the "i" is small because there's no "I" in G.R.i.T. Boys) and these boys are taking back the streets. Their raps are tough, smart and at times revolutionary. They're not like anything you've heard in the Houston rap game before. These four distinctly different personalities -- Pretty Todd, Poppy, Scooby and Unique -- all came up on the south side of Houston and attended Worthing High School, though at different times. The guys were a crucial part of the breakthrough success of Paul Wall, and worked on numerous songs on his albums. Look for plenty more from these talented Artists. The Grit Boys works are administered through Share The Wealth Music (Ascap).

Crown King Productions (Mike Davis, Nicolas Solis, and Howard White), have signed an Administration Agreement with The Royalty Network. The deal covers their entire catalog, including songs with 8 Ball & MJG, Konkrete, Yung Joc, Boyz N Da Hood, and Big Boi’s ‘Got Purp’. The guys are a talented and successful production crew. Each are affiliated with BMI as writers, along with their respective Publishing companies, I Made This Music, BayMike Music, and Nico Solis Music. The guys were signed by our Atlanta rep, Carl Harris. We’re pleased to have them on board.

Brian Jackson (Yung Fyngas Music) has signed a Worldwide Administration deal with The Royalty Network, Inc., covering his catalog. Brian has produced and co-written with UGK and DJ Kane and is currently in the studio working on upcoming projects. Yung Fyngas Music is an Ascap company.

Elijah Molina p/k/a ‘Scoop Deville (Elijah Molina Music – Sesac) has signed a Worldwide Administration agreement with The Royalty Network. Scoop’s latest work is several songs on the new Snoop Dogg album. Be sure to check him out at www.myspace.com/scoopdeville. Scoop is the song of the Godfather of Latin Rap, Kid Frost. He’s the next Producer doing big things, with tracks under his belt for Baby Bash, Mike Shinoda (of Fort Minor), Snoop, Game, Apathy, Cypress Hill, Guerilla Black, Muggs, and many more. Look forward to hearing many more from this Phenom!!

George “Papaduck” Wegans signed an Administration Agreement covering his song “The Real Testament” by Plies, and included on his latest album by the same name. Papaducks’s ready to make big things happen, and his proven production ability will certainly lead to lots more. We’re happy to have Papdauck, who’s an Ascap writer, aboard.
