James ‘Lucky’ Witherspoon, son and Executor of the Estate of Blues great Jimmy Witherspoon, has signed a worldwide administration agreement with The Network. A notable singer of the post-World War II era, Jimmy’s first recording resulted in a #1 R&B hit in 1949 with “Ain’t Nobody’s Business Pts. I & II” on Supreme Records. “No Rollin’ Blues” and “Big Fine Girl” both followed in 1950. Jimmy’s repertoire includes 29 albums from 1959 to 1971, along with a slew of box sets and greatest hits compilations.

The Network will now represent Musician/songwriter/artist, Paul Crossdale and his newly formed catalog. Paul’s writing and keyboards can be heard on nearly every hit reggae record, from Max Romeo classics, Buju Banton, Dennis Brown and Sizzla’s consciousness to the dancehall sounds of Shaggy and Beenie Man. His most recent work can be heard on more than half of Sizzla’s highly successful Da Real Thing (VP).

Kent Lawrence and his Zaboola Publishing will now be administered worldwide via The Royalty Newtork. Kent’s past credits include songs for Jaheim’s platinum release Ghetto Love (Divine Mill/Warner Bros.) and Donell Jones’ Where I Wanna Be.

Calvin Gaines Robert Hankerson p/k/a St. Denson, along with his Denson Filez Music catalog will be administered through The Network. St. Denson’s production has popped up on a handful of indi releases, however, his most recent and greatest success that catapulted his career was the track for Styles’ chart topper “Good Times” on his gold certified A Gangsta and A Gentlemen (Interscope). More of his talent will appear on a project for an up and coming Detroit rapper.

The Royalty Network and AMV Altster Musikverlag have extended their existing agreement, whereby we will continue to sub-publish the German catalog in the U.S. and Canada. AMV is one of the top European Publisher, which have successfully put out projects for chart topping electro/jazz and funk acts.
