RICKY LEWIS
( Ric Rude)

Ricky ‘Ric Rude’ Lewis has been working this full-time job since the year 2002 when he first broke in with his featured track on Hip Hop sensation Busta Rhymes’ ‘It Ain’t Safe No More’ release. His placement served as a worthy introduction that the demonstrative songwriter/Producer, was indeed a force to be reckoned with.

With a Discography that includes hits for Busta Rhymes, Guerilla Black, Ray J, Big Noyd, Fantasia, Destiny’s Child, Avant, Onitsha, Joe, and more, no one can doubt that not only is Rick Rude a star, he’s diversified in his writing/production style like no other.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, where he still resides, Rick’s dedication paid off when he began producing on a host of superstar albums (Guerilla Black, Fantasia, and Destiny’s Child) in 2004. A lush period for the Superstar Producer, he then landed two big singles on some of the major albums released, Fantasia’s ‘Free Yourself’ featuring the hit "It’s All Good," and Destiny’s Child’s ‘Destiny Fulfilled’, boasting the smash, "Cater 2 U," co-produced by supporter Rodney Jerkins.

With beats that bang like World War 3 in the back of your trunk, Grammy-nominated producer Ric Rude is fluffing the industry as if he’s planning to make himself at home. Selling over 15 million records worldwide there is no doubt that this guy could bring to life melodies that manifest classic songs along with the greatest of artist. Ric Rude proves his equality through his works already provided: Avant’s “Grown Man”, Ray J’s “Lets Play House”, Joe’s “If I Want Her”, Fantasia’s “It’s All Good”, and you’ve probably heard Destiny Child’s “Cater 2 U” on everyone’s ring tone. On the hip-hop side of things, Busta Rhyme’s “Struttin Like A G.O.D”, Slim Thug’s Mixtape banger “The Game”, Joe Buddens “Def Jam Diss”, and Guerilla Black’s “Trixx”, which was the head song for NBA Street V3. It was nothing but God given hard work and talent that landed this young potential legend a contract with his favorite producer Rodney Jerkins in whom Ric credits a lot of his major success to. Ric Rude has a few more future surprises lined up for us including a few groups of his own from the Los Angeles area. Ric Rude quotes, “You are not going to be able to grasp what’s about to go down, you’re going to love us”.

Ric Rude’s specialty is the cleanliness of his production, and the flawless delivery of his tracks that catches the immediate attention of so many Artists. He's always been a producer able to find that source of connectivity in all of us. Upcoming placements include “If I Want Her” by Joe (Zomba) and “This Is Serious” by Onitsha (Hidden Beach). Stand back out there, RIC RUDE has arrived.
