“Hip Hop” in ‘GQ Men of the Year Awards 2003’…
The composition “Hip Hop”, written and performed by Dead Prez (Lavonne Alford / Clayton Gavin), is scheduled to appear in the upcoming Spike TV show ’GQ Men of the Year Awards 2003’. The GQ Men of the Year Awards has been held annually for the past seven years and continues to honor men of distinction. “Hip Hop” will play during the category of “Funnyman” when Dave Chappelle is introduced. Warner Bros. Television’s show ‘Without A Trace’ , will use the Tricky song “Scrappy Love” produced by DJ Muggs, as part of their upcoming episode in which the song is played during a flashback scene as agents interrogate a classmate in their quest to find a missing boy. Without a Trace is a new 1 hour drama for CBS about an FBI Missing Persons Task Force that search for people that have vanished. “Scrappy Love” was produced and co-written by DJ Muggs, whose works are administered by us throughout the World via his catalog, Soul Assassins Music (Ascap).
“Ante Up” and “Uh Huh” in ‘You Got Served’…
M.O.P’s work “Ante Up” and Method Man’s “Uh Huh” produced by Nottz (Domenick Lamb), are scheduled to appear in the upcoming film ‘You Got Served’ which is a film that follows the competitive world of street dancing where crews battle each other for money and respect. “Ante Up” is scheduled to play during a street dance scene in which one crew shows off in front of another, and “Uh Huh” will play during a scene in which the crews show off their basketball skills. BET’s’ hit show, ‘Spring Bling’, is a three-day Spring Break party in Daytona Beach, Florida. “Spring Bling” featured events such as fashion shows and hot music concerts by today’s hottest Hip Hop and R&B artists, will use the song “A.D.I.D.A.S.” and “Scared Straight”, both written and performance by Killer Mike (Michael Render).
